          Our Summer Camp is a great way for energetic kids to safely channel their energy when they are out of school. Parents have the comfort of knowing that even in the summer their children are continuing to learn in a safe and stimulating environment. Your child can spend his or her summer enjoying a variety of martial arts, and non-martial arts related activities, games, and field trips.

         We understand that working parents need their children supervised during regular business hours on a year-round basis. Non-working parents still want their children to enjoy a full and fun summer experience, and have the opportunity to be with other children their same age. The objective is to create a fun and safe experience every day of the summer and encourage children to build good relationships, learn martial arts, and demonstrate responsibility by following directions and playing safe. Parents can concentrate on making the best use of their time with the peace of mind that their children are having fun, making good use of their time, and staying healthy from the various forms of exercise they have the opportunity to enjoy.

            Healthy children need a balance between exercise and good nutrition. The best time to begin healthy exercise and eating habits is sooner rather than later. Obesity in children is ever increasing in the United States. We are part of the grass roots movement to help the children in our community enjoy healthier lifestyles by showing them how much fun exercise can be, and appreciate the importance of good nutritional habits.

            All children who are in camp for 6 weeks or more will automatically be enrolled in The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. At the end of camp the appropriate level awards will be distributed free of charge. There is a distinguished award for everyone. An active lifestyle and doing your best is what counts!

Every parent realizes the importance of a good core value system. Our camp focuses on five different Character Education themes. Each theme lasts two weeks.

• Attitude          (Weeks 1 & 2)
• Confidence     (Weeks 3 & 4)
• Honesty          (Weeks 5 & 6)
• Self Discipline (Weeks 7 & 8)
• Focus             (Weeks 9 & 10)

          We are a proud member of the finest Character Education Program in the country; Building Great Kids (BGK). Our families receive free E-Books from BGK monthly which contain up to date and helpful Character and Family Education information. That’s right! Martial arts classes are included for FREE! Our campers will get to take martial arts classes four days per week. They will be issued an official uniform and will also have the opportunity to actually earn their first belt ranking if they participate for 6 weeks or more. In addition to the physical self defense skills they will learn, they will also gain a much deeper understanding and appreciation why discipline, courtesy, and respect is essential for good relationships and success in life.

            How could we call it Super Summer Camp if there weren’t exciting adventures? Children get to go on offsite field trips almost every day of the summer. Where do we go? Here are just a few:

• Outdoor hiking
• Chuck E. Cheese
• 8 different county parks
• 3 different swimming pools (Swimming is offered one day every week)
• Ice skating
• Miniature golf
• Bowling
• Baseball games
• Fun centers
• Movie theaters
• Etc. You get the idea! Fun!

            Arts and crafts provide a relaxing opportunity to kids to relax, enjoy quiet time, and make friends. Children are divided into age appropriate groups and assisted with their projects. You will be surprised when your child brings home his/her crazy and amazing “Works of Art”!

            Structured games are a big part of our camp. While kids are busy having fun they also learn about teamwork and relationship building. In addition to fun games they will also get to learn special agility drills that we use in martial arts to help them develop better coordination and balance. It’s a blast!

• Camp opens at 7am and closes at 6pm
• Campers are issued camp t-shirts and bracelets for safety purposes
• Swimming suits are needed on Thursdays
• Parents need to pack lunch and 2 snacks daily
• Age range is from 6 - 12 years old
• Camp is a total of 10 weeks from June 11th to August 17th
• Camp locations in both Largo and Seminole

Master Ric Martin, founder and owner of Authentic Martial Arts. He began martial arts in 1973. He competed in 8 World Championships in Okinawa, Japan and was the first American ever to win the World Championship there. He has dedicated his life to the study, perfection, and instruction of quality martial arts. Authentic Martial Arts is well-known in the community for their support of 16 public elementary schools. Authentic Martial Arts was awarded Business Partner of the Year in 2008 by Pinellas County Schools. This award has never been presented to a martial arts school in the history of Pinellas County.
